N'Awlins Jazz Cafe has shuttered at 4206 Magazine and this week new Asian fusion restaurant Hibiscus will take over the space, Todd Price reports. Chefs Chris Cody (Dijon alum) and Ricky Toy (Little Tokyo/Stix Asian Grill/Bamboo alum) will roll out "dishes like Cambodian green mango salad, Kimchi rubbed salmon and curried Cambodian braised beef cheeks" and also, quite unexpectedly, a cheese menu with 16 selections. Sounds unusual, but Cody claims "a nutty, earthy cheese" will do right with many an Asian dish.
