Del Fuego Adds Lunch, VFW Fundraiser, And More

UPTOWN— Del Fuego is adding lunch service starting next week, reports Sarah Baird, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with "the same range of dishes as the dinner menu." [Gambit]

GRETNA— Ian McNulty reports that Red Maple Restaurant (1036 Lafayette St) is hosting a Legacy Beef and Wine Dinner on August 21: " It's part of a new series of special events at the 50-year-old Gretna restaurant since proprietor Darren Chifici took over its management in 2013. This five-course dinner will feature Louisiana Legacy Beef, a brand for Angus cattle sourced from ranches across Louisiana, paired with wines from California's Alexander Valley." [Advocate]

UPTOWN— The Times-Pic reports that VFW members are hosting events this weekend to help raise funds for a new meeting space including a patron party at Grit's Bar tomorrow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ($150 per couple) and their main fundraiser ($30/person) at F&M's from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m on Saturday, August 16 with NOLA Brewing on hand plus food from local restaurants.
