Looks like another two weeks until Freret Street reaches maximum dining synergy, as Michael Southall and biz partner James Comeaux get ready to open the Ice Cream 504 company store at 2511 Jena (right off of Freret), specializing in small batch ice cream and snoballs. Comeaux tells their fans that they are in the home stretch of opening. Expect 10-16 rotating flavors, and a texture different than you'd expect, as Southall doesn't use gum or flour in his recipe. It's also gluten free.
Restrain the children, and do stay tuned for an opening date.
