St. Rose Tavern Reopening, White Linen Night Planning

NEW SARPY— Beloved roadhouse/roast beef po boy hub St. Rose Tavern, which was forced to shutter/evicted in late 2013, is reopening in the former Migliore's Food Store in New Sarpy in about two weeks, reports Brett Anderson. [NOLA>com]

MISSISSIPPI— "A decade after setting up shop in Kiln, Lazy Magnolia employs 35 and is sold in 17 states. The business is on track to reach $5 million in sales this year," reports Businessweek, but still owner Mark Henderson "is barely breaking even—and still moonlights as an engineer." [Bloomberg]

WAREHOUSE DISTRICT— This Saturday, August 2, White Linen Night takes over Julia Street at 6 p.m. with for-purchase food/booze along the street, and the CAC after-party at 9 p.m. ($10/free for CAC members) features live music, and food from Broussard's, GW Fins, MoPho, SoBou and more. [Gambit]
