Milkfish Has Booze, Splendid Pigs At Coulis, And More

NOLA— Luca DiSomma is "the mastermind" behind The Cluck Truck, and this week Samantha Marrone reports that he does in fact make "delicious chicken -- fried, tenders, or wings, served with truffle french fries and a biscuit or waffle." [NolaVie]

LGD— Todd Price on Root Squared this week: "Bartender Max Messier, a veteran of the New York cocktail scene, created the drinks, which pull back the acidity to let the fresh juices shine brighter." Also of note: a lengthy charcuterie list, hearty small plates and "you're likely to spot a famous face, or at least someone glamorous enough to be one." [NOLA.com]
