AJ&J Asian Bistro Opens on Magazine In The LGD

Sarah Baird reports that the booming section of Magazine near Jackson— home to District, Stein's, and Charcoal's— has now added AJ&J Asian Bistro to the mix (at Phillip and Mag): "Located in a former antique store, AJ&J features a sleek, metallic space with glittering chandeliers and a charming collection of Maneki-neko (Japanese good luck cats) by the front door."

The menu feautures Pan-Asian dishes including bento boxes, curry hot pots, Singapore noodles, and sushi, with a large sushi bar turning out what sound like a few crazier rolls, including The Fat Cowboy with "shrimp tempura and snowcrab topped with filet mignon and crispy onions." Lunch specials abound. Some delivery available.

Hours: Mon-Thurs, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fri-Sat 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
