Commander's Palace chef Tory McPhail will head to Australia from late June to early July with the American Chef Corps, where he'll prepare meals for foreign leaders in Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra, reports Brett Anderson. McPhail is one of only five American chefs selected to be a 'culinary ambassador', as part of this partnership between the State Department and the James Beard Foundation. [NOLA.com]
