NOLA—"The Birthday Cake Project" is artist Louise Neal's way of spreading the sweetness, as she's baking 30 cakes for 30 total strangers celebrating birthdays this month. The cakes are custom-made, either vanilla or chocolate, and there's a choice of three frostings. [WGNO]

LGD—A Summer Solstice Celebration is happening Saturday, June 21 at the Good Eggs NOLA warehouse (1746 Tchoup) where there will be a hog roast, live music, cold drinks, and "family-friendly events." Tickets are $5 and the shindig happens from 5 to 8 p.m. [NOLA.com]

NOLA—There's less than a week 'til the Margarita Mix-off Finals take place at Fulton Alley on Monday, June 23.
