All Thing Booze: Negroni Week, LA 1 Whiskey, & More

NOLA— Anne Berry reports that 40+ restaurants will be participating in Negroni Week (June 2-8), sponsored by Imbibe and Campari, with $1-$2 of each drink sold being donated to local charities including NOMAF, Hogs for the Cause, and more. NOLA— Laura McKnight reports that Donner-Peltier's LA 1 Whiskeyӣ "purported to be the first legal, locally produced, aged whiskey since Prohibition"— is now available in New Orleans. Find it at The Swizzle Stick, Loa, Sazerac Bar, SoBou, and more fine bars and restaurants. [NOLA.com]

NOLA— NoDef reports that Abita Brewing is rolling out a new seasonal Seersucker Summer Pils this week, with plans to release several specialty beers— Strawgator, Imperial Stout, Baltic Porter, and Imperator— in 22 ounce bottles in the near future. A seersucker pub crawl is happening today, May 31, in the CBD, starting at Ernst Café at 5 p.m. More details here. [NoDef]

CBD— Gordon Biersch is releasing its SommerBrau with a tapping party on June 2 at 5:30 p.m. at their Nola location (200 Poydras St.). They're also launching a new pairing menu for the beer, which runs through July 13. [Eaterwire]
