Barrel Proof opened up this past Friday to a swarm of whisky freaks, beer geeks, and Sylvain fans to investigate its 50+ beer (mostly bottled) and 150+ whiskies from around the world. The bottles are displayed and bathed in a golden light reflecting the gorgeous wood bar that lines the side of the large room.
Although no food is available now, utilizing the large kitchen on the premises is definitely in the plans that managing partners Liam Deegan, Sean McCusker, Robert Leblanc, and Patrick Finney have for the future. Therefore, no smoking and no dogs are permitted inside the bar.
For now, Barrel Proof is open from 4pm-midnight (ish) every day, but soon (hopefully by football season, if not before) Deegan plans to add some daytime drinking hours on the weekend.
