Maple Street Patisserie et Bistro, the new full-service breakfast and lunch expansion from the Maple Street Patisserie team is now softly open in Gert Town. A grand opening is expected around May 28. Chef Scott Maki is heading up the kitchen in the brick-walled bistro, with lunch fare including pommes frites, French Onion soup, salads and a handful of bistro sandwiches (think, ham and brie, or herb crusted roast beef with au jus) on house-baked breads in the $9-$12 range. Breakfast features a Croque Madame and other egg-fancies. Plus, there's a separate shop counter for pastries and espresso. Sounds like there are also plans to add beer/wine.
Phone: (504) 265-8905
Hours: Closed Sundays, Mon-Sat 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Status: Softly open; Grand opening by the end of May
