Domenica's long awaited casual spin-off Pizza Domenica is now officially open Uptown, offering a greater variety of pies than the mothership plus salads, crostinis, antipasti, and of course chef Alon Shaya's beloved whole roasted cauliflower. Take out is available. Booze wise, there's a huge focus on craft beer with a glycol-chilled beer tap system and 40+ brews. There's also 35+ wines, and batch cocktails by the pitcher, but happy hour specials haven't been announced yet. In what has been a huge week for expansions with The Link Group's Cochon Butcher and Root's spin-off Square Root opening too Besh's Pizza Domenica is certain to fill a void for wood-fired excellence among the Uptown residents around Magazine, but it looks so snazzy (and no doubt the food is so outstanding) that it's impossible to discount it as a destination restaurant as well.
Hours: Daily 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
