Dat Dog Frenchmen Is Now Open

601 Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA 70116
Phone: (504) 309-3362
Website: datdognola.com
Status: Certified Open

Dat Dog Frenchmen has officially opened for lunch and dinner with late night hours. Yesterday owner Constantine Georges tweeted that the opening would happen at 3 p.m., and it did, as NoDef and WGNO were both on hand for a first look inside the restaurant. Georges had hoped to open by Mardi Gras, but got delayed by some pesky aesthetic-appropriate issues (such as the balcony). That being said, the colorful two-storied building now features seating on the wrap-around balcony, a bar on each floor, the same menu as the Freret and Magazine locations, and a few new signature drinks as well. The restaurant also features lots of artwork, including a mural from artists Monica and Madeleine Kelly of buskers on the infamous empty lot where Dat Dog Frenchmen now resides.

Hours: Everyday for lunch and dinner, 11 a.m. until
Previous Coverage: 2/19/14, 2/10/14 , 3/14/13
Further Reading: Nola Defender, WGNO, The Times-Pic
