Stop what you're doing because Milkfish is now officially open in Mid City (in the former Italian Pie space). Chef Cristina Quackenbush has opened the doors to her highly anticipated permanent home of Filipino cuisine as of 11 a.m. today. Milkfish is currently BYOB, but they're doing some pretty great specialty non-alcoholic drinks too. The menu is pretty similar to the favorites from the pop-up days (pancit, kare kare, sisig and all dat) and in other cool Milkfish news, Quackenbush is allowing up-and-coming chefs to pop up in the kitchen every Wednesday. Sundays will be service industry nights with $7 plates and drink specials (when license to booze is finally permitted). And also amazing: Milkfish does delivery.
Hours: Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Sunday 11 a.m. to midnight.
