Everybody Panic! The reservation system for Square Root has just gone live! Chef Philip Lopez and Maximilian Ortiz will finally open the doors to their highly anticipated tasting-menu restaurant on Thursday, April 23, Todd A. Price reports. Reservations can be made online only via OpenTable or on Square Root's very informative official website. Reservations are available from Tuesday through Saturday between 5:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. up to 30 days in advance. You'll also need a credit card to hold them.
As for what to expect at Square Root: The downstairs will feature the 12- to 15-course tasting menu with seating for 16 in an open kitchen. The tasting menu is $150/person with drinks additional. Upstairs, the Root Squared cocktail lounge will do small plates and charcuterie. Sommelier Liz Dowty is managing the 3,000-bottle wine cellar, and New York transplant Max Messier is heading up the bar program.
