Chisesi's Gets A Loan, Beers At Festival International

NOLA— New Orleans based Chisesi's Brothers Meat Packing Co. is getting a $7.1 million loan from U.S. Department of Agriculture development department which is expected to save 86 jobs and create 10 new ones. Chisesi's ham is a favorite on po' boys at Mahony's and Parkway, as Brett Anderson notes. [NOLA.com]

LAFAYETTE— Beer whisperer Nora McGunnigle notes that Festival International de Louisiane's "Lus LA Craft Biergarten" features 20 beers from six Louisiana breweries this year— Abita, Bayou Teche, Covington, NOLA Brewing, Parish and Tin Roof. Bayou Teche will debut Bayoust, a collab-brew with French brewer, La Bambelle, at the fess (April 23-27). [Gambit]
