Day 53 of king cake madness finds the sugar-crazed Times-Pic crew at Baker Maid near the Superdome. Today's cake of interest is "pleasantly fluffy ... with a not-too-sweet cinnamon flavor," and although it's not braided, it's available with a variety of different fillings including "cream cheese, praline, strawberry, cherry, blueberry, lemon, apple and Bavarian cream."
