Not Cool! Hubig's Pies Bakery Rebuild is Up In The Air

Say it ain't so... According to Fox 8 News, the effort rebuild the Hubig's Piesbakery is on hold for now. Apparenlty there's a dispute over money and how to move forward:

Sources say there's a conflict between owners Otto Ramsey and Lamar Bowman, and talks are at an impasse. Plans were drawn up for a new 16,000-square-foot plant on Press Street, but architects stopped work.

City Council granted a conditional use permit for Hubig's to build their facility on a NOCCA-owned lot on Press Street back in July 2013, but by January 2014, Todd A. Price had pointed out that there was no progress being made. Some "core base of employees" have even been let go, This does not bode well for iconic Hubig's, whose bakery burned down in a shocking fire back in July 2012. On the good side, employees seem "hopeful" that the owners will work out their dispute and move forward.
