UPTOWN— Todd A. Price reports that the Popeyes at 4041 Magazine has shut down as of today for reasons unknown. [NOLA.com]

IRISH CHANNEL— GG's Dine-O-Rama (3100 Mag) is gearing up for Saturday's St. Patrick's Day parade with all sorts of specials for breakfast (8 a.m. to noon) and lunch (noon to 5 p.m.) plus drink specials including green beer, Irish car bomb Jello shots and Irish car bomb milkshakes. [Eaterwire]

IRISH CHANNEL— Salu (3226 Mag) will be doing a full menu inside for the St. Patty's parade. Out front, expect bar specials including $3 green beer, $5 champagne splits, $2 green jello shots, and more plus two specialty dishes: Cochon de Lait sandwich ($5) and fish and chips.

NOLA— The Farm To Table International Symposium (F2Ti) has announced food pioneer Michel Nischan as Honorary Chair of their 2014 event, planned for August 2-4 here in New Orleans. Nischan is a restaurateur/cookbook author/and food policy advocate. [Eaterwire]
