Meauxbar Might Be Shuttering For Good This Weekend

Sad rumor day, folks: Several tipsters and reliable sources have been writing in that Meauxbar Bistro is set to shutter after dinner service this Saturday night, February 8. Chef Matthew Guidry's restaurant has been a N. Rampart fixture for ten years, continuing to impress critics and recently voted a favorite underrated restaurant among Eater readers. Apparently Guidry has sold the space to some fairly big name local restaurateurs, and is likely retiring.

While OpenTable is not accepting reservations for coming weeks at the restaurant, no calls to Meauxbar have not been returned at this time, so Eater has yet to officially verify the rumors.
