Update 2/4: Chef James Cullen tells Eater that February 7th will NOT be the opening date for the restaurant, as they are tied up with the city. The bar remains fully open, however.NoDef reports that new Mid City hotspot Treo is preparing to unleash the grub this Friday, February 7, as the kitchen rolls otu small plates menu for the official grand opening. Chef James Cullen has already been warming up patrons with a few dishes, including this pretty bomb-looking shrimp chowder during sneauxmaggedon, since opening.
As for menu highlights, owner Pauline Patterson mentions shrimp with lemongrass polenta and Thai green curry, sauteed mushshrooms with thyme oil and egg yolk, and Spanish style shrimp fritters with saffron aioli. Expect multi-cultural flavors happening here, and also the addition of a full Irish breakfast on Sundays coming soon, featuring housemade sausages and black and white pudding, which is apparently similar to boudin noir, from purveyor/Memphis chef Fergus Nolan.
Treo is already open for cocktails only, daily from 4p.m. to midnight.
