City Council honored legendary restaurateur Willie Mae Seaton yesterday in celebration of her 100th birthday. Seaton opened her eponymous Scotch House in 1956, known for the best fried chicken in da world. After Katrina, chef John Currence and a slew of volunteers helped the flooded Treme institution reopen, where today granddaughter Kerry Seaton runs the show. [WWLTV, NOLA.com]
