Best Restaurants Listicle, Ole Saint's Best Bets, More

NOLA— Listicle side show performers The Daily Meal have released their 101 best restaurants in America for 2014, and making the cut from New Orleans are Herbsaint, August, Cochon, Galatoire's, and Commander's Palace. Discuss. [DailyMeal]

QUARTER— New Olreans Mag contributor Robert Peyton heads to Deuce McAllister's Ole Saint Kitchen & Tap for some "well-fried" oysters and beer: "The list of local beers on tap rivals any bar in town, and there's a pretty wide selection of beers from elsewhere, too. Prices on the food are pretty low, particularly for the Quarter, but beers run around $6 or more for a pint. The better deal is a flight of four 5-ounce pours for $10." [HautePlates]

QUARTER— Here's a cool story from Vice contrib Michael Patrick Welch about journalist hangout Molly's At The Market. The bar has hosted a media night every Thursday since the mid-80s, including monthly guest bartenders which have included the likes of Ray Nagin, Edwin Edwards, and some other not-so-corrupt movers and shakers.
