Todd A. Price reports that Riverbend farm to table pioneer/pop-up incubator Dante's Kitchen is now home to Sarsaparilla, a Tuesday night cocktail bar with late night food options, operating from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Dante's own general manager Craig Seaman and bartender Jordan Deis started Sarsaparilla, and Price reports it's potentially "a test run for something more permanent" a la former Dante's pop ups Noodle & Pie and McClure's Barbecue.
In true Dante's fashion, locally sourced ingredients are of the utmost importance to the duo when it comes to food and drink. On the current menu: soft pretzels, sesame beef jerky, and leek and rye gratin. The drinks are all $6, and include many a clever signature including the 'Santa's Lap' and the 'Ketchup & Mustard.'
