Pho Orchid is Officially Open Uptown

As of yesterday, Pho Orchid Uptown has officially joined the cray cray fray of New Orleans pho joints. This is the fourth Vietnamese restaurant to open in New Orleans in the past two months alone— along with Mid City's Namese and MoPho and Freret's Mint— and the new wave continues to spread with Pho Cam Ly slated for the Irish Channel sometime this Spring. Much like these latest openings Pho Orchid will serve some trendy items mixed with traditional fare (sorry no menu is available online yet), but unlike other pho newbs, they'll be open until 2 a.m. This is the second expansion for owner David Nguyen and team, who also opened their trendy and quickly Pho Orchid Express on airline in summer 2013. The restaurant is located in a space formerly home to the shortlived Le Viet Café on the edge of Central City.

Hours: Open 6 days a week 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Closed Wednesdays.
