The newest addition to the Bywater, Red's Chinese, has landed on ye ever-growing olde bohemian trail St. Claude Avenue. The highly-anticipated restaurant from Mission Chinese alum/chef Tobias Womack and partner/alum of Brooklyn's Martha Amy Mosberger, is now softly open at 3048 St. Claude. The duo hope to fill a 'glaring absence of good Chinese food' albeit one that takes a few liberties with the preparation--or as Todd Price calls it: 'intentionally inauthentic" Chinese--including some major Southern influences. Check the menu out right here. The restaurant is currently BYOB, but is planning to add booze soon, as well as delivery.
