Justin Devillier, MoPho Nab Best of Dining 2014 From New Orleans Magazine

Carrollton Market, Milkfish, Oak Oven, Johnny Sanchez and more named year's best.

Every December New Orleans Magazine rolls out their top dining picks of the year, and the 2014 awards have just gone live. The panel of experts making these picks is comprised of their restaurant writers/critics Jay Forman, Robert Peyton, and Tim McNally— and the magazine's editorial staff, and they've again included some interesting categories this year, like Southeast Asian Restaurant of the Year and the Giving Back category.

And because in New Orleans there's approximately a bazillion different restaurants and chefs that qualify for Best of Dining awards, the writers note that in some categories "the pick could have gone in several directions." Prepare your golf claps... The winners are:

Chef of the Year: Justin Devillier
Restaurant of the Year: MoPho
Under The Radar: Carrollton Market
Southeast Asian Restaurant of the Year: Milkfish
Mixologist of the Year: Cheryl Charming, Bourbon O Bar
Pizza Restaurant of the Year: Pizza Domenica
Restaurateur of the Year: Danny Milan, Cava
Honor Roll: Mandina's
Mexican Restaurant of the Year: Johnny Sanchez
Concept of the Year: Marcello's
Neighborhood Restaurant of the Year: Oak Oven
Giving Back: Cafe Reconcile
