LGD: Planned microdistillery/restaurant LuLa (1532 St. Charles) from Superior/Commander's alum Jess Bourgeois got the thumbs up (with some special conditions, including limited retail booze sales) from CPC and will now head before City Council. LuLa plans to distill rum, vodka and gin featuring Louisiana sugar cane, alongside a 'Southern rustic menu." Some neighbors still cite parking and potential 'chemical' odors as a problem. JACKSON: Drago's opens their Jackson, Mississippi expansion today, Brett Anderson reports, and Seafood R'evolution, an expansion from John Folse and Rick Tramonto, also just opened there last last month. [NOLA.com]

NOLA: Tis the season for holiday art (and FOOD) markets, as Ian McNulty points out this week. Look for familiar vendors and newcomers alike at this evening's Harrison Avenue Marketplace (in Lakeview at 5 p.m.). Saturday's Freretstivus and Piety Street Market's Yule-a-Palooza, and The Arts Market of New Orleans at Palmer Park on 12/13 12/14. [Advocate]
