BYWATER: Cane & Table wonderboys Nick Detrich and Braden LaGrone will pop up as Diamante K on Sunday night at Oxalis' new back bar The Branch. The duo will leave the rum behind and sling agave spirits all night long, and there will be worm salt on hand from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. so do eat the worm, folks. [NOLA.com]

OAK STREET: 50+ vendors take to Oak Street this Sunday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the annual Po Boy Festival, and Ian McNulty notes some interesting variations to look out for this year: "A po-boy by way of a Reuben, though made with corned pork belly and duck liver mousse for good measure (from Boucherie); a shrimp po-boy dressed out like a sushi roll with avocado, cucumber, a spicy, creamy "dragon sauce" and eel sauce (from Seither's Seafood); and a short-rib po-boy stacked with fried onion rings (from Mahony's Po-Boy Shop)." QUARTER/MARIGNY: Sarah Baird reports that drunk dancing people in 80s workout gear will be taking over the Quarter for The Bloody Marathon tomorrow starting at Jax Brewery around 11:30 a.m. The mass hoard of day drinkers will stop at bars--including R Bar, Lost Love and many more--along the route. CITY PARK: Jingle Bells and Beer is the 21 and over way to Celebration in the Oaks, happening on Saturday night at 7 p.m.  $45 at the door includes food tastings, craft beer, and access to the rides without all those pesky children running around. More info here. [Advocate]
