Crescent Pie Pops Up at Liberty's Kitchen With Brunch, And More Dining News

Crescent Pie will bring brunch to Liberty's Kitchen a few times this fall and winter, a Nigerian street food dinner is heading to NOLA next week, and more.

MID CITY: Crescent Pie & Sausage Co. is popping up at Liberty's Kitchen (308 N. Broad) with Sunday brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 12, November 2 and 23, and December 14. [Facebook]

NOLA: Baker and movie star Dwight Henry continues to expand his Buttermilk Drop empire with a third location opening near UNO (6220 Elysian Fields) this winter,  and a bakery in Harlem. Rouses is now also carrying his buttermilk drops. [NOLA.com]

GARDEN DISTRICT/METAIRIE: Todd Price reports that Sucre has switched out their pastries this month with riffs on bread pudding, including a pinneapple upside down version that "looks as pretty as a Tiffany lampshade and tastes like a dish you haven't tried in ages."  Also, Sucre's French Quarter Salon should be opening in around the New Year.
