John Besh and Aarón Sánchez have revealed their highly-anticipated new CBD taqueria and tequila bar Johnny Sánchez to friends and family as of yesterday. John Besh recently promised a fun vibe, and judging by the crazy wall of tat art, the mariachi band, and a treasure trove of tequila, this will be the case when the house gets packed. The restaurant design was done by Curtis Herring, who also decked out the ultra-swank Pizza Domenica Uptown. Word on the street is the restaurant may very well open tonight, but it is most definitely opening this week. UPDATE 10/7: A representative of the Besh Group states that the restaurant isn't "quite open" but in soft opening mode.
The restaurant features Besh Group chef Miles Landrem in the kitchen. Apparently there are crickets on the menu, but unfortunately the menu hasn't been released yet. There are also choco tacos (available to go as well) from pastry chef Kelly Fields.
