It's Almost Time for the Epicurean Excess of Boudin, Bourbon & Beer

Start training for the annual fundraiser of excess, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation's Boudin, Bourbon & Beer, happening on Friday, November 7 in Champion Square

The Emeril Lagasse Foundation's annual Boudin, Bourbon & Beer will be storming Champion Square on Friday, November 7 with meat, booze, beer, celebrity chefs, and music and Eater is pretty psyched up about it. Next week will be wall to wall Boudin, Bourbon & Beer coverage, with interviews with the organizers, event chair Donald Link, sponsor Abita president David Blossman, and oodles of participating chefs - both local and visiting.

In the meantime, enjoy the coverage out this week in the New Orleans Advocate. Also, in the Gambit, Sarah Baird interviews famed Kentucky chef Ed Lee, returning to participate this year. Lee actually has collaborated on a chef's bourbon with Jefferson's Reserve, which makes him a double threat for Boudin, Bourbon & Beer. Cheramie Sonnier with the Advocate does a general overview of the event, with the logistics (where to buy tickets, how much, etc.) as well as an interview with David Kish, the new president of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation. (Eater will be running an interview with him too.)

So prep yourselves for much beer, bourbon and pork and boudin of any and every variety. And for all the coverage of the event next week.
