Chef BFFs and television personalities John Besh and Aarón Sánchez will open Johnny Sánchez in the former Ste. Marie space this month. While no official opening date is yet known, this week Besh and Sanchez chum it up via video for NOLA.com, revealing that there will be live music at the upcoming restaurant. As for the food, it's all about ever-evolving contemporary crossroads of Latin/Mexican meeting a Louisiana-French style of cooking with tacos, tostadas and ceviches as the "driving point" of the menu. Sanchez says the bar will anchor the restaurant, and Besh promises a party vibe, so prepare to eat the worm.
