Just in time for tomorrow's citywide elections, The Times Pic and WVUE have teamed up to bring you the top 100 restaurants that appear on campaign expenditure reports in Louisiana. Well this data confirms a few things about the state's policitians, as Brett Anderson notes: They apparently love pasta, steak, Grand Dames, Louisiana seafood, and they spent a combined $1.5 million of campaign funds dining at restaurants between 2009-2012. But start asking "is it too much to ask our politicians to have good taste?" like Anderson does, and you might as well be talking to the bottom of a duck commander Tervis cup. Just rest assured knowing that both Copeland's AND Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro have made the top 100.
Here now are the top ten New Orleans' area restaurants where politicians like to eat, including their rank in the top 100, and how much money politicians spent there.
· Ruth's Chris: ranked 1st overall, $171, 205
