Another Broken Egg Update, Toups on Tan Dinh, More

BROADMOOR— NoDef previews the new baked-fry/vegan hub 3 Potato 4 this week, and finds wedge, red and sweet potato fries that are "worth a visit," 17 different toppings including vegan bacon bits and curry, and eco-friendly take-out containers, but take heed: "NoDef does not recommend the kombucha root beer." IRISH CHANNEL— Todd A. Price reports that Another Broken Egg (opening in former Cafe Rani/La Fin Du Monde on Magazine) will have a three-day preview January 23-25, in which customers won't receive a check for their meal but are being asked to donate to Café Reconcile. The restaurant's official opening date is January 27, and another location on Harrison Ave. will open February 10. [NOLA.com]

WESTBANK— Chef/owner Isaac Toups of his eponymous Mid City meatery tells Conde Naste Traveler the best thing he's had to eat this week is the combo pho at Tan Dinh: "Other places offer the rare flank, brisket and meatballs but Tan Dinh also adds tripe and knuckle to the soup. It adds an extra dimension of flavor that makes the pho truly decadent." [CNTraveler]

BYWATER— Booty's Street Food has joined the Happy Hour game, with three $5 daily drink specials, currently including a Margarita and a toddy, available everyday from 3-6 p.m. [Eaterwire]
