xla1%3A16.pngUPDATE 1/17: Ordinance withdrawn. Strict new revisions to the sound ordinance will be discussed at noon tomorrow, January 17, by City Council's Housing and Human Needs Committee, and Alex Rawls reports that "everybody's doing what they can to pre-tilt the scales:" A coalition of Bourbon Street/French Quarter business owners have sent a letter to Councilwoman Cynthia Hedge-Morrell asking her to oppose the revised ordinance. There are also plans for hundreds (potentially thousands) of musicians and nightlife supporters to rally in front of City Hall tomorrow. [MySpiltMilk, MACCNO] [Photo: flickr/vxla]
