Cafe Sbisa NOT Damaged in French Quarter Fire Afterall

Cafe Sbisa is safe after a close brush with a three-alarm fire this morning. Around 8 a.m. the Times-Pic reported that a fire broke out in Cafe Sbisa, turns out, as The Advocate reports, that while a call came in to the NOFD "reporting smoke from the building at 1011 Decatur St., which houses the restaurant Cafe Sbisa," the fire actually began in an adjacent apartment building.

As for Cafe Sbisa, The Times-Pic now reports that "the cafe may have experienced smoke damage, but no fire or water damage." Close call, but that's good news for the recently reopened restaurant.
