Todd A. Price reports that tomorrow, August 23, will be chef Daniel Causgrove's last day at Dijon. Tom Fitzmorris just gave a FOUR STAR REVIEW to the quiet LGD restaurant last week, stating that "Dijon still shows aftereffects of having got off on the wrong foot in spite of food that is imaginative and deftly wrought... it's not packing the house, even though it ought to be."
Owner Kurt Brodtmann seems to mirror T-Fitz' sentiment, telling The TP: "We are extremely proud of the work that we have done during this time, having made our fair share of mistakes in the very beginning but using those mistakes to learn from and become better and better each and every day." The restaurant is still searching for the chef's replacement. No word on where Causgrove? a La Petite Grocery alum? is heading to at this time.
