Ian McNulty reports more news on upcoming Uptown hotness Ivy this week. Located in the former Vizard's space on Magazine, little is known about Patrick Singley and chef Sue Zemanick's venture into small plates, other than it's sure to be as exquisite as their inimitable Uptown haunt Gautreau's. Here now are five facts to know about Ivy, per McNulty.
.) The concept is similar to Bouligny Tavern, chef John Harris' upscale small plates/cocktail lounge nextdoor to Lilette. Singley says, "It will be a place you go to have a fine cocktail and share a few small plates."
.) There will be a full bar, and two bartenders (not yet named)
.) Ivy will be open until midnight.
.) Chef Sue Zemanick will oversee Ivy and Gautreau's, but the kitchens will be held down by chefs de cuisine Chris Gecewich at Ivy and Nick Lama at Gautreau's.
.) Ivy should open around the end of September.
