Ian McNulty reviews CBD gastropub/arcade mecca Barcadia this week, and finds a "man cave writ large" that is good for lunch and pregaming but with caveats: "It's the natural habitat for the sort of blustery dude food that happens to pair well with the giddy nerves of game day." Nick Hufft's "first rate" burgers shine as the main attraction, but "at night, bigger crowds arrive, the party amps up and the food appeal plummets." [Gambit]
Robert Peyton reports that pop up Milkfish is "absolutely worth checking out" this week: "The dish I most associate with Filipino cuisine is adobo, in which chicken or pork is stewed in vinegar with garlic, onion, bay leaf and pepper. It's on the menu in both varieties at Milkfish, and both were excellent." [HautePlates]
T-Fitz gives FOUR WHOLE STARS to Dijon, with the coveted +2 HIPNESS POINTS this week: "Dijon still shows aftereffects of having got off on the wrong foot in spite of food that is imaginative and deftly wrought, and an ever-running schedule of wine dinners and special menus. It's not packing the house, even though it ought to be." [CityBusiness]
