Ian McNulty reports that a new Bear's Po' Boys is open at the Bottom Line in Metairie. Owner Matt Dekemel "was previously a part owner in the Bear's edition at Gennaro's," which McNulty just lurvs, but "he decided to open his own version after consulting with the Watson family," who started the Bear's enterprise on the North Shore way back in the 70s, at first with only a snoball stand.
