Bravo has announced more Season 11 cheftestapants today, and Eater National has more on the newest additions from the West Coast. As for The South, supposedly the rest of the contestants will be announced tomorrow, which is also the start date of Bravo's spin off web-series Padma's Picks, which will feature ten New Orleans chefs vying for a spot on Top Chef.
That being said, Bravo has also released a new Season 11 teaser video with all sorts of celeb cameos including Top Chef debuts from the inimitable Dr. John and Kermit Ruffins.
From the looks of this teaser, there's probably more chef-sweat on this season than any other. Not to mention gators, scrimps, John Besh and his great hair, LSU students, lots of shit talking, and a Betty Page coiffed chefbillypants trying to convince us all that "everybody's drunk in New Orleans" (giggle, giggle). And the promise of an "emotional roller coaster ride from hell"? one that involves a chef mauling the hell out of a bowl of raw hamburger? so sit back and enjoy the ride.
