Here's a Top Chef Promo, Some Of The Cast Revealed

Bravo has released a new promo for Season 11 of Top Chef, set here in New Orleans, and The Times-Pic reports that the show will premier on October 2. The promo?set to Galactic's song "Hey Na Na"? starts out with Padma Lakshmi appearing on the street like a lone red dress runner who's just ditched her tutu-BFFs at Saints and Sinners and then 'whistles to life' a rather cringe-worthy second line featuring Krewe of St. Anne lookalikes obviously heading to the river to bid adieu to Tom Colicchio's dancing skills and feast on GUMBO!

In other news, Bravo has revealed the cheftestapants from the North East region, including two chefs from Philly, and three from New York City. The Times-Pic has all their bios here. Contestants from other regions, including the South, will be announced soon.

What more to expect? Local legends John Besh, Leah Chase, and Paul Prudhomme will be on the show alongside Dr. John and Kermit Ruffins. Plus celebs like Jon Favreau, Lea Michele, Anthony Mackie (also a NOLA native), Questlove, Jacques Pepin, David Chang and Eddie Huang will make appearances. Emeril Lagasse will also join Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Hugh Acheson and the gang as a guest judge.
