Watch Best Daym Takeout Visit Willie Mae's

Tonight is the premier of Travel Channel's Best Daym Takeout, hosted by YouTube sensation Daymon Patterson, who created the popular web series Daym Drops filmed right from his car. Back to back episodes will feature Chicago followed by New Orleans (airing at 9:30 p.m.), in which Daym visits Freret Street Po Boys & Donuts, Willie Mae's Scotch House and Acme Oyster House. Not exactly a takeout trifecta, as the The Times-Pic points out. Sadly he doesn't hit up a drive-thru daiq shop for NOLA's ultimate takeout specialty.

Here's a clip of Patterson as he visits iconic Treme restaurant Willie Mae's, where he jokingly accuses chef Kerry Seaton of using Jiffy cornbread mix, before dunking a piece of cornbread into the deep fryer and having her top the artery-clogger with oxtail gravy. He then delves into the wonderful world of white chocolate bread pudding, deeming the dish simply "divine."
