Book Club

treme-11.jpgEater National has a sneak peek of the new cookbook Treme: Stories and Recipes from the Heart of New Orleans, based on the HBO series, and written by Lolis Eric Elie with an intro from Anthony Bourdain. Overall, the book proves a fairly legit guide to Cajun and Creole cuisine, with recipes from Emeril Lagasse, Jacqueline Blanchard, Aaron Burgau, Susan Spicer, Alon Shaya, and Donald Link, along with chefs that appear on the show (David Chang, Eric Ripert). However, there are some strange first-person narratives from the characters, especially chef Janette Desautel. [-EN-]
