Summer Dinner Series Go Global, Ceviche Celebrations

BYWATER? Each Friday evening this summer, Booty's is doing a prix fixe menu showcasing dishes from specific countries/regions of the world. Tonight, Singapore fare is on tap. $20 gets you three dishes, including Hainanese Chicken Rice and more. Next week they'll dabble in South Korean fare. [Eaterwire]

GARDEN DISTRICT? The Gambit reports that chef Michale Stoltzfus' much talked-about chicken and champagne dinner (happening next Tuesday, July 25) is actually the start of Coquette's dinner series, on the last Tuesday of each month. July's dinner will be a boucherie, and "future editions may feature guest chefs from other restaurants and possibly from other cities. " [Gambit]

WAREHOUSE DISTRICT? Chef Miles Prescott will celebrate National Ceviche Day next Friday, June 28, at Rio Mar with a special ceviche menu boasting more than eight variations on the dish. [Eaterwire]

UPTOWN? Chef Dominique Macquet will kick off a three day celebration of Peruvian ceviche with specialty ceviche dishes and Portón cocktails created by guest bartenders on June 27th, 5:30-9:30. There will also be a drawing to win a ceviche party for six in the Chef's secret garden, located behind the restaurant.
