Justin Pitard, who opened Avery's Po-Boys on Tulane Avenue about a year ago, tells The Advocate that there is an 'outrageous' amount of prostitution and drug dealing going down in nearby motels. The city hopes that the upcoming hospital and a $10 million streetscape project, which will bring back the neutral ground/reduce Tulane to four lanes, may very well help revitalize the ave back to a "Miracle Mile" featuring new restaurants and hubs like Treo, an art gallery/movie theater/cocktail "laboratory" coming from the Finn McCool's owners in the 3800 block.
