Bruce Eggler of the Times-Pic questions if Mayor Mitch Landrieu's veto of the food trucks ordinance is more about politics than policy. Eggler states that Stacy Head, who accepted the questionable provisions to get the ordinance passed, is a known "political antagonist" of the mayor's and could possibly run against him next year (though unlikely). Landrieu has still not mentioned the provisions he finds unconstitutional, nor did he mention any problems during the 10 months Head was drafting/presenting the ordinance. [NOLA.com]
