Martinique Bistro Owners Purchase Dick & Jenny's

The owners of Martinique Bistro and Cristiano's (in Houma), Kelly Barker and Cristiano Raffignone, have purchased the kitschy Uptown favorite known for Louisiana comfort food, Dick & Jenny's, reports Susan Langenhennig. The duo have been running a pop-up version of Cristiano's out of Martinique on Monday nights while searching for a permanent home for the restaurant. While it sounds like Dick & Jenny's probably won't become Cristiano's? Barker says they 'MIGHT' look for other locations, but not this year? there are already plans to introduce some of their signature dishes by fall. Cristiano's executive chef Lindsey Mason will work with current Dick & Jenny's chef Stacy Hall to make that happen.

Barker and Raffignone purchased the restaurant from Will and Leigh Peters on Tuesday, May 28. Dick and Jenny Benz sold the restaurant to the Peters? both former employees of the restaurant? after Hurricane Katrina.
