Mayor Mitch Landrieu issued his annual report on the economy surrounding the city's culture, which shows that more than $760 million in spending was fueled by Mardi Gras/French Quarter Festival/Jazz Fest. Landrieu says, "This report also vividly illustrates that culture is inseparable from our way of life in New Orleans. We enjoy a diversity of cultural riches that most cities can only dream about."
